    Event Description:
A historical perspective on fly-fishing the Bois Brule River

Damian Wilmot has been guiding the Bois Brule since 1989. He is one in a long line of Brule river stewards that has helped maintain the traditions that have made the river into what it is today, a blue-ribbon, wilderness bastion of the wild brook, brown and rainbow trout and their Superior-born, lake-run brethren. Damian believes in fishing the Brule the traditional way. His program involves wooden canoes, cane rods and of course the Brule Fry, a traditional dinner of steak, potatoes, and bacon cooked riverside over a Brule Stove. Damian’s clients not only get to fish a legendary Northwoods river, but they also get to participate in local angling traditions that go back well over a century.
