UWS Theatre presents the play, "I and You," which explores two young people’s perceptions of the world and how they approach life. Caroline, who has been ill all her life and connected to the outside world only through technology, is suddenly visited by classmate, Anthony. A school English assignment brings them together for an afternoon to discuss a poem by Walt Whitman. As they share their interests, dreams and disappointments, they discover through his poetry that as individuals, the “I and you”, there is a strong need for human connection, the “we”.
